Mrs. Lisa A. Goad

April 26, 1963 - July 19, 2012

Lisa A. Goad, 49, of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at her home.

Born on April 26, 1963, in Symrna, TN, Mrs. Goad was the daughter of Roy and Katy Biehle Matthews. She married Richard Goad on October 23, 1993. He survives.

Mrs. Goad attended St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She was most recently employed at Stone Belt ARC and had previously worked at Lowes Distribution. Lisa enjoyed nature and watching birds.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lisa is survived by a daughter, Catherine (Daniel) Meyers of Seymour; a son, Robert (Desiree) Morrow of Seymour; 5 sisters, Teresa Taskey of Seymour, Tina Pearson of North Vernon, Karla Vance of Dupont, Gracie Martin of Madison and Kelly Gonzalez of North Vernon; two grandchildren, Alexis and Bryson, and several nieces and nephews.

Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred and Mary Biehle and Martha Matthews Smith and Herbert Matthews, and a niece, LaDawn Vance.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. Deacon Michael East will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 - 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Per Lisa's wishes, her body was donated to the IU Medical Center.
