Lisa Jane (Shaw) Barlow, 61, of North Vernon, passed away on April 11, 2026. She was born on January 10, 1965, in Seymour, Indiana, to David and Karen (Losey) Shaw. She married William “Billy” Barlow and he precedes her in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service, 115 S. State St, North Vernon, IN. Deacon Larry French will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Lisa found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was preparing family meals or basking in the warmth of the sun by the pool with her adored grandchildren. An alumna of Ball State University, Lisa's journey in life included many fulfilling experiences, including her role at ResCare, where she touched the lives of many with her compassion and dedication.

Family was at the center of Lisa’s world. She treasured every moment spent with her kids and grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be fondly remembered. Lisa enjoyed taking long car rides through the countryside, where she found peace and beauty in the world around her. Her beloved dog, Buddy, was always by her side, sharing in her adventures and providing her with unwavering companionship.

A member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lisa’s faith was her foundation, instilling in her a sense of community and love that she extended to everyone around her. She was especially proud to accompany her daughter during travel softball games, always cheering from the sidelines, embodying the love and support that defined her character.

She is survived by sons, Nick Barlow, Alex Barlow and Joe Barlow; grandchildren, Kennedy Barlow and Jaxon Kendall; father, Dave Shaw; brother, Josh Shaw and many loving aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her mother; husband; daughter, Caitlin Barlow; and sister, Rachael Shaw.
