Lionel Ray Robinson Sr., 79, of North Vernon, passed away at 1:55 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at his home.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation was chosen. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are entrusted with the arrangements.

Born on June 9, 1944, in Wallace, West Virginia, Lionel was the loving son of Charles Clovis and Georgia Irene (Curtis) Robinson. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Jean Fields in Painsville, OH in 1969. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2014.

Lionel graduated from Lumberport High School in 1962. He had worked at Regal Rugs for 16 years, for 15 years at Ball Chardon Rubber, and for 6 years for Atmosphere Annealing. Lionel was a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, and fishing.

Lionel will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Georgia Robinson; wife, Dorothy Robinson; brothers, Clovis John Robinson, and Freddrick Burl Robinson.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the organization of the donor's choice.
