Linda J. Luhn

January 28, 1949 - February 17, 2009

Linda J. Luhn, 60, of Scipio passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born January 28, 1949 in Canaan, IN, Linda was the daughter of Guy and Wilma Banks Chandler. She married James Luhn, Sr. on December 5, 1964. He died January 13, 2004.

Linda attended school for 12 years in Ghent, KY. She was employed at Arvins for 33 years, and was a member of the Messiah Baptist Church and Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.

Linda is survived by companion, Norman "Bud" Seymour; one daughter, Teresa Luhn (Harvey Turner) of Fayetteville, NC; two sons, James "Jimmy" (Carla) Luhn of Carrollton, KY and Jerry Luhn of Scipio; 9 grandchildren, Branden, Brittnee, Ashlee, Shelby Lynn, Shane, Lane, and Jordan Luhn, Lacie Welch, Erin Mattingly; and 2 greatgrandchildren, Haley and Conner Welch. Also surviving are brothers James "Jimmy" Chandler of Worthville, KY, Charles Larry Chandler of Gas City, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Donald "Donnie" Chandler, Michael "Mikey" Chandler; and sisters Wilma Sherry "Sissy" Deckard and Mary Lou Craig, .

Funeral Information

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home, with visitation from 12:00 PM until service time. Rev. Terry Branum will be officiating.
