Mrs. Linda D. Johnson

Linda D. Johnson, 57, of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born on July 22, 1954, in Hyden, KY, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of Jack and Ada Spencer VanCleve. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1973. She married Earl Johnson on October 6, 1973. He survives.

Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of Hayden Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, birdwatching and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her parents, of Hayden; a daughter, Jackie Miller of North Vernon; a son, Donald Johnson of Seymour; three grandchildren, Jacob Miller, Monica Miller and Nickolas Johnson; a brother, Jack (Melanie) VanCleve, Jr. of Hayden and niece SuAnn VanCleve.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. Rev. Mark Sorrels will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Burial will be at Hayden Cemetery.
