IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda K.
(Hendricks) Hodges
September 9, 1967 – September 9, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda K. Hodges, 58, of Indianapolis. Linda was born on September 9, 1967, in Batesville, Indiana. A proud graduate of Jennings County High School in 1986, Linda went on to attend the University of Indianapolis on a full scholarship, where she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and religion.
In 1995, Linda answered the call to serve her country by joining the Navy, where she served until 1999. Following her time in the military, she pursued her passion for nursing by graduating from the Marion University School of Nursing as a licensed practical nurse. During her nursing career she provided exemplary care at Davita Dialysis, and also in home health nursing. She later worked at Cummins, Inc.
Linda's artistic talents brought beauty and joy to her life. She had a deep passion for painting, sculpting, and drawing, allowing her creativity to shine through in every piece she created. An avid cat lover, Linda found joy in the companionship of her feline friends. She had a special affection for music, with her favorite bands including Green Day and My Chemical Romance, whose energy reflected her vibrant personality.
Linda leaves behind her loving mother, Judy Eder; step-father, Joe Eder; her cherished daughter, Kailey Hodges; her brother, Brad Hendricks, and sister-in-law, Mary Hendricks; her sister, America Thomas, and brother-in-law, Ross Thomas; as well as her beloved grandson, Elliott Barrett. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Hendricks.
In this difficult time, we take comfort in the memory of Linda's warmth, compassion, and artistic spirit, which will forever be etched in our hearts. The world is a little dimmer without her light, but her love will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, dear Linda.
