Linda J. Hearld

Linda J. Hearld, 69, of North Vernon passed away at 9:30 A.M. on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Jennings Healthcare Center in North Vernon.

Born on November 20, 1942 in Burney, Linda was the daughter of the late Leo and Dollie B. Holt Hearld. She married Dennis Carmichael in 2005 and he preceded her in death in 2010. She had worked for several years at American Rental, and later was employed by Developmental Services, Inc.

Linda enjoyed reading, bowling, and playing bingo, but most of all; she treasured the time spent with her children and family.

Ms. Hearld is survived by three sons, Warren Richards of North Vernon, Patrick V. Lutz of Noblesville, and George J. Lutz of Hartford City, one daughter, Cynthia L. Jones of Muncie, four sisters, Mary Dean Hofelich of Scipio, Saundra Townsend and Rebecca J. Hearld of North Vernon, and Zellma L. Hearld of Scottsburg, and three brothers, Andy Lee Hearld of Lafayette, Terry D. Hearld of Ft. Wayne, and Kevin G. Hearld of North Vernon. Survivors also include twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Dollie, and husband, Dennis, and one son, Phillip G. Lutz III.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 24, 2012. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8 P.M. Thursday, and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
