Linda L. Angel, 72, of North Vernon, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service.  Rev. John Willis will officiate.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will continue until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Born June 16, 1946, in Scipio, Linda was the daughter of Cecil and Mary Bennett Marksberry.  She married Tommy Angel, Sr. on July 25, 1965.  He survives.

She enjoyed her grandchildren, bingo, casinos and collecting teddy bears.

Linda is survived by her husband, Tommy Angel, Sr.; son, Tommy Angel, Jr.; six brothers, Melvin, Rick and Larry Marksberry all of North Vernon, Bobby Brinkeroff of Portland, IN, Michael O'Banyel of Indianapolis, and Cecil Birge of North Vernon; a sister, Pat Reed of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Kristin Angel of LaGrange; and two great-grandsons, Ethan and Mike.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Gary and Donnie Angel; and two sisters, Sharon Mays and Rosemary Wilkerson.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home for the family to assist with funeral expenses.
