Mr. Lewis Edward Moore

October 31, 1959 - February 26, 2009

Lewis Edward Moore, 49 of North Vernon passed away on Thursday February 26, 2009 at his residence.

Born October 31, 1959 in Columbus, Lewis was the son of the late Paul and Lucille Dial Moore.

Mr. Moore enjoyed racing sports, working on cars, and fishing.

He is survived by three sons, Leon Moore of North Vernon and Chad Edward and Gregory Zane Moore both of Calhoun, GA, seven grandchildren, Lance Anderson, Emily Moore, Brooke Moore, Chad E. Moore Jr., Sasha Moore, Jasmine Moore, and Lilly Moore, three brothers, Jerry Lee Moore of Morocco, IN, Randy Moore of Scipio, and Joey Moore of Seymour, seven sisters, Elvie Griffin, Susie Everroad, and Teresa Sharp all of North Vernon, Rotha Stout and Joyce Hudson both of Seymour, Debbie Holt of Butlerville, and Shirley Burton of Scipio, and a companion, Teresa Moore Hobson of North Vernon.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Paul JR Moore, and four sisters, Sally Nell Moore, Betty Robbins, Ruthene Roe, and Sheila Luedeman.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will held at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 with the Rev. Bob Franklin officiating. Calling hours for friends and family will be on Monday from 4 to 8 PM and on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Hayden Cemetery.
