Lawrence G. Bailiff

Lawrence G. Bailiff 90, of North Vernon passed away at12:25 p.m. on Tuesday November, 3, 2009 at Jennings Healthcare Center.

Born on February 23, 1919, in Salina KS. Lawrence was the son of the late Claude A. and Alice Lund Bailiff. He was a graduate of Vernon High School. He later married Margaret Huey Bailiff.

Mr. Bailiff had been employed with Kroger's as a butcher which he retired after thirty-five years. He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the NRA.

Survivors include his two sons, Ronald Bailiff of North Vernon, Russell Bailiff of Lawrenceburg, a sister, Ethel Scott of North Vernon and seven grandchildren, Rhonda Mooreman, Stephanie Maher, Rachel Mackinder, Russell Bailiff, Jonathan Bailiff, Andrew Bailiff and Christine Hurst.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and grandson, Matthew Bailiff.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be Friday at 12:00 p.m. at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home with visitation from10:00-12:00 p.m. prior. Internment will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, Indiana.
