Mr. Larry Wayne Baker

December 04, 1958 - March 03, 2012

Larry Wayne Baker, 53, of North Vernon, passed away earlier last week at his residence.
Born on December 4, 1958 in Ohio, Larry was the son of Buddy and Nancy Louise Cox Baker. He later served his country in the United States Navy.
Mr. Baker enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, wood working, cooking, and playing guitar. He loved his dogs, especially "Get Em".
Larry is survived by his mother, Nancy Louise Batts, , a son, Brandon Bowling of North Vernon, two daughters, Jessica (Justin) Johnson of Scipio and Courtney Baker of North Vernon, two grandchildren, Charlee Bowling of North Vernon and Madisyn Johnson of Scipio, three brothers, Bernard and John Baker of Eminence, KY, and Frank (Stacy) Batts of Paris Crossing, two sisters, Debra (Paul) Ertel of Seymour and Loraine Sams of Kentucky, and a step-sister, Debbie Huddlemeyer of Clarksville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Baker and his step-father, Frank E. Batts.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon with Rev. Marcus Speer officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
