Mr. Larry Eugene Armand

October 02, 1943 - February 10, 2009

Larry Eugene Armand, 65, of North Vernon, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born October 2, 1943, in Canaan, IN, he was the son of Charles Andrew and Ethel Evelyn Earl Armand. He married Carol Smith, she survives.

Mr. Armand served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964. He retired from Cummins Engine Company, and was a member of the Hebron Church in Canaan. Mr. Armand enjoyed his cars, motorcycles, and especially watching his grandchildren grow.

Mr. Armand is survived by his wife, Carol Armand, two children with his first wife, Judy Johnson, Tina Diann Armand and Rick Eugene (Sue)Armand both of North Vernon, one step-daughter, Lisa (Gary) Foster, two grandchildren, Caleb Joseph C.J. Armand and April Lynn Foster, all of North Vernon, three sisters; Virginia Grimes of Florida, Donna (Tommy) Day and Marilyn (Ken) Volz of Madison, and three brothers; Ralph (Ann) Armand of Madison, Dennis (Nancy) Armand of Salem, and Glenn Armand of LA.

Mr. Armand was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Kenneth Robert Armand and Earl Leroy Armand, and one sister Fern Annabel Armand.

Arrangements were made in care of Sawyer~Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Elston officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Canaan, IN. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4 to 8 PM.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association through the funeral home.
