Kenneth R. Ritz, 52, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:49 p.m., on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at his home.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Dale Boyd will officiate. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Born on November 11, 1968, in Seymour, Kenny was the loving son of John and Ann (Marsh) Ritz. He was united in marriage to Tricia Whipker on February 8, 1991. She survives.

Kenny has been employed by Dave O'mara Contractor, Inc. for 25 yrs. and was currently an operator and concrete supervisor. He was a member of Operator's Union #181. Kenny was an avid supporter of Freedom Hunt Southern Swing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, mushroom hunting, and bon fires. Kenny cherished above all spending his free time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Tricia Ritz of North Vernon, survivors include son, Steven (Patricia) Ritz of Floyds Knobs; daughters, Sierra (Evan) Chaille of North Vernon, and Summer Ritz of North Vernon; mother, Ann Ritz of North Vernon; brothers, Mike (Chris) Ritz of Brownstown, Mark Ritz of North Vernon; sisters, Marsha Manning of North Vernon, Marnita Richart of North Vernon, and Marla (Chris) Weber of North Vernon; several nieces and nephews; dogs, Axel, Marley, and Bella; and grand-dogs, Moe, Riley, Maddie, and Mowgli.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father, John Ritz.
