Kenneth V. "Bud" Day

Kenneth V. "Bud" Day, 87, of North Vernon passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.

Born March 15, 1923, in North Vernon, he was the son of Clarence and Esther Ferdinand Day. He married Louise Eakins Day. She preceded him in death in March 27, 2002.

Mr. Day had been employed for Arvinyl and ITT Thompson Industries. He was a former City Council member and served on the North Vernon Water Board. He was a member of the Vernon Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing.

He is survived by his daughter, Kim Day of North Vernon, a son, Terry (Vickie) Day of North Vernon, grandchildren, Amber, Daniel, and David Day, Stephen Day and Abigail Romine; and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a brother, Arnold Day.
Arrangements were made in care of Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home.

Funeral Information

Funeral will be held on Friday, at 1:00 at Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Don Morris officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home in North Vernon and on Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 at the Vernon Baptist Church. Burial will be at the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
