Kenneth Lester Blair, 80, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Hickory Creek of Columbus. Born on May 20, 1946, in Russell Springs, Kentucky, Kenneth spent his life pursuing his passions and spreading joy to those around him. He was a proud graduate of Columbus High School and dedicated many years of his life to manufacturing work.
Kenneth had a deep love for the outdoors, finding peace and happiness while fishing and enjoying sunny days on the lake. He cherished the simple moments, mushroom hunting with his sisters. He was always eager to share a story or a laugh with family and friends. His love for gospel music, particularly the melodies of the Gaithers, filled his life with inspiration and hope.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved sister, Vontris Gay Kinsey of Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery.
As we remember Kenneth, we celebrate a man who loved the outdoors, cherished his family, and brought joy into the lives of everyone he met. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in our hearts.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Nedoma Bolin Blair; sister, Janet Blair; brothers, Kermit, Coy, and Travis Blair.
