Mr. Keith W. Hibbs

Keith Wayne Hibbs, 53, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.

Keith had been previously employed as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, spending time with his family, and as a teenager had enjoyed playing basketball. He was a fun, outgoing person, and enjoyed being around friends and cracking jokes to make others laugh. He loved having hot rods and fast cars.

Survivors include two brothers, Eddie and JohnLee Hibbs of North Vernon; brother in law, Jonny Zolton, Sr. of North Vernon; five nieces, Kinya and Nicki Zolton, Jaylee and Sara Beth Hibbs, and Wendy McDowell; three nephews, Johnny Zolton, Jr., Jimmy and Jonathan Hibbs; six great nieces, Rachelle and Lashay Evans, Shayla, Aubrey and Zoey Pickett Hibbs, and Brinlee Zolton; six great nephews, Kaden and Collin Sparks, Larry Evan, Braylen Zolton, Conor Pickett Hibbs and Holden McDowell.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jimmy Hibbs; sister, Leanne Zolton; nephew, Shane Hibbs and stepmother, Nancy Hibbs.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014, at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Terry Branum will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service on Monday.
Born July 12, 1962, in Columbus, Keith was the son of the late John and Teresa Ann Borrow Hibbs. He attended Columbus East High School.
