Kathy D. Byard, 67, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:14 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at Columbus Regional Health Hospital.

There are no services planned at this time. Cremation was chosen. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are entrusted with the arrangements.

Born on January 25, 1954, in Scottsburg, Kathy was the loving daughter of Robert and Delores (Hall) Beare. She was united in marriage to Ralph Byard. He survives.

Kathy was a member of the First Christian Church. She lived for her family. Cherished all the memories made spending time surrounded by the ones she loved.

In addition to her husband, Ralph Byard of North Vernon, survivors include daughters, Melissa Barnes of North Vernon, Angel Haysler (George) of Paris Crossing, and Julie Galliher of North Vernon; brothers, Bill Beare of Scottsburg, and Bruce Beare of North Vernon; sister, Debbie Kreug of Columbus; grandchildren, Dylan Huff, Ryan Huff, Dakota Mings, Cheyenne England, Nathaniel Galliher, Hunter Galliher, Bryce Barnes, Kaitlyn Galliher, Willard Barnes, Derek Ross, Cody Galliher, and Caydence Haysler; great grandchildren, Jackson Huff, Stella Creech, Axl Huff, Evelyn Huff, and Paislee Smock.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Delores Beare.
