Kathryn A. McKinney, 66, of Scipio, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Schneck Medical Center.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service.  Rev. Caleb Reynolds will officiate.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of the service.

Born August 15, 1952, in Willard, OH, Kathryn was the daughter of Dale and Harriett Purkhiser Sherbundy.  She married Steven McKinney on April 2, 1971.  He survives.

She had previously been employed as a pharmacy technician.  Kathryn enjoyed watching hummingbirds, animals, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Kathryn is survived by her husband, Steven McKinney of Scipio; son, Bradley McKinney of Scipio; daughter, Katie (Josh) Yeager of Butlerville; brother, Robert Dale Sherbundy of Columbus; and two granddaughters, Amber and Kinze Yeager.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Susie Phillips.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
