Obituary

Kathryn Everroad, 94, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Majestic Care of North Vernon.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Hillcrest Cemetery. Brother James Fletcher will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., prior to the graveside on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Face masks are encouraged but not required and please be mindful of social distancing.

Born March 6, 1926, in Greensburg, Kathryn was the daughter of Glen and Verdie (Bishop) Powers. She was united in marriage to Lewis "Curly" Everroad in 1945. He preceded her in death on August 13, 1994.

Kathryn was a member of the VFW Ladies Aux, and Eagles. She had worked at Regal Rugs over the years. Kathryn enjoyed bird watching and all wildlife. She especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by sons, Stephen (Sue) Everroad of North Vernon, and Gary Lee Everroad of Geneva, IN; brother, Glen Powers Jr. of Anderson; grandchildren, Scott, David, and Michael Everroad, Brad Foster, and Lindsey Brumback; ten great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Verdie Powers; husband, Lewis "Curly" Everroad; sister, Claretta Fletcher; stepfather, Earl Hukill.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Majestic Care of North Vernon.
