Kathryn Annabelle Feaster, 88, of North Vernon passed away at 1:15 P.M. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at her residence.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Sawyer – Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Richard Burcham will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:30 P.M. at South Mound Cemetery in Newcastle. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.

Born on December 28, 1935, in Weston, WV, Kathryn was the daughter of Asa and Irene Roxy Davis Emerson. She married James L. Feaster Sr. on July 7, 1951. He preceded her in death in 2001.

Kathryn had lived in New Port, RI, New Castle, IN, Greensboro, IN, Knightstown, IN, and North Vernon. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping, playing games, crocheting, and canvas needle work.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela K. Coats of North Vernon; sons, James L. (Sheila) Feaster, Jr., and John A. (Sandy) Feaster of North Vernon; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Richard and Jeffrey Feaster, and brothers, Trenden and Floyd Emerson.

Memorials may be made through the funeral to the family for expenses.
