Kathleen M. Daeger, 93, of North Vernon passed away at 1:10 AM Sunday, March 3, 2013 at her residence.
Born May 1, 1919 in Jennings County, Kathleen was the daughter of James and Sarah McCann Wickens. She married Otto G. Daeger May 10, 1941. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1976.
Mrs. Daeger was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. She worked twenty years at Regal Rugs. She loved singing, cooking and yodeling.
Kathleen is survived by sons, Phillip (Rosie), Bill (Cindy), and Tony (Joyce) Daeger of North Vernon; daughters, Marilyn (Bill) Campbell, Janet (Joe) Campbell, Patty (Pat) Cardinal, Kathy (Matt) Hurley, Linda (Frank) Kovacich, and JoAnn (Dale) Wernke of North Vernon; one brother, Hugh Wickens of Bellville, IL; sisters, Virginia Wickens of North Vernon, Terese Bruns of Millhousen, and Mable Byers of Bedford; twenty -two grandchildren, and twenty-six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, John, James, Phillip, and Daniel Daniel Wickens; sisters, Marjorie and Mary Wickens.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Rev. Jonathan Meyer officiating. Interment will be in St. Ann's church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. A Rosary service will be conducted at 3:00 PM.
Donations Information
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Ann's Cemetery, St. Mary's School, or Our Hospice of Jennings County.
