Mrs. June Hill

June 13, 1926 - March 09, 2014

June Hill, 87, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:58 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born June 13, 1926, in Sparksville, IN, June was the daughter of the late Clarence and Kathleen Murray Pollock. She married Earl Hill on January 14, 1946, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1985.

June had been a homemaker for many years, and had also been employed as a cook at North Vernon Jr. and Sr. High School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was known to her family and friends as a very good cook, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her friends.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel (Kathy) Hill of Fishers, and Terry (Karen) Hill of Columbia, TN; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Hugh Pollock; and grandson, Chris Hill.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Marvin Sweet will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
