Mrs. Judy Kipper

Judy Kipper, 65, of North Vernon, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012, at her home. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born March 6, 1947, in Seymour, Judy was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Dowell Wilds. She graduated from North Vernon High School in 1965. She married Dennis Kipper on December 21, 1966. He survives.

Judy worked for Union Bank & Trust for 39 years as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed watching sports, having monthly lunches with friends, and spending time with her family. She loved being called "Ma" by her grandson, Owen.

In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by her daughter, Traci Ashley, of North Vernon; son, Craig Kipper, of North Vernon; brothers Mike (Sue) Wilds of Westfield, IN, and Bruce (Rita) Wilds of Bloomington; grandson, Owen Francis Kipper; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Jonathan Meyer will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
