Joyce Ann Brewer

Joyce A. Brewer, 64, of North Vernon, passed away on May 2, 2011, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Born in Hazard, KY, on March 13, 1947, Joyce was the daughter of Charles and Nora Phelps Baker. She enjoyed taking care of and assisting others as a supported living assistant for seventeen years at Muscatatuck State Developmental Center and for the last six years for Archer Consultation.
Joyce is survived by two sons, Steve (Missy) Brewer, Donnie (Theresa) Brewer; one daughter, Lisa (Chris) Sessions; three brothers, Pop and Dick Baker, both of OH, and Tommy Baker of IL; grandchildren Jason, Jessie, Jacob, Justin, Rachel and Emily Brewer, Derrick, Randi and Brandon Cross, and Tasha Sessions; and great grandchildren Abbey Cross, Brison Hornberger, and Kyler Leary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jessie Ritchey; brothers, Eddie, Don, Pete and Ray Baker.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be held on May 7, 2011 at 6:00 pm at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Crematon Service, with Angie Sharp officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
