Mrs. Josephine Vogel

Josephine Vogel, 72 of North Vernon passed away at 12:30 A.M. on Thursday, September 08, 2011 at the Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born on November 17, 1938 in Jennings County, Josephine was the daughter of the late Albert and Luvina (Hill) Daeger. She later married Kenneth Vogel on August 28, 1971 and he survives.

Josephine enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren play sports and school activities.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth of North Vernon, a son, Kevin (Lisa) Vogel of North Vernon, a daughter, Julie (Leroy) Armstrong of Elizabethtown, six grandchildren, Tyler, Abigail, Jacob, & Megan Vogel and Natasha & Emma Armstrong, one brother, Albert (Marlene) Daeger of North Vernon, and two sisters, Leona Hellmich of Greensburg and Bertha (Virgil) Haskamp of Greensburg.

Mrs. Vogel was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Otto, Bernard, and Edmund Daeger, and a sister, Rosemary Kreutzjans.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon with Rev. Jonathan Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon with a Rosary Service at 3:30. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
