Mrs. Josephine P. Eder

Josephine P. Eder, 96, North Vernon, passed on February 7, 2010 at 10:40 p.m. at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.

Born April 10, 1913 in North Vernon to the parents of the late Bernard and Anna Senseback Kirchner. She later married Henry E. Eder on June 16, 1934. He proceeded her in death February 28, 1984.

Josephine enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella & St. Mary's Catholic Church.

She is survived by three sons, Henry J. Eder Jr. and David Eder both of North Vernon, Jerome Eder of Greenwood; two daughters, Mary J. Taylor of North Vernon and Pat Hahn of Aliso Viejo, CA; 14 Grandchildren; 23 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren; a brother, Norman Kirchner of North Vernon.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Charles Eder, 8 brothers Bernard, Clarence, Paul, Charles, Harold, Donald, Harry & Al Kirchner; and a Great-Great Grandchild.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 10:30 am with Father Don Quinn officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 pm Wednesday at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral Home.
