Obituary

John K. Wager, 85, of Commiskey passed away at 8:33 AM Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at First Church of God in Commiskey, IN.  A fellowship dinner will follow the service.  Please bring a dish.  Contact Sherri Wager at (916) 761-9917 for more information.

Born January 25, 1931 in Rush County, IN, John was the son of Glenn Roy and Mary Louise Cross Wager.

John served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked for twenty – five years before retiring as a stationary engineer for the state of California.

He is survived by sons, Curtis Wager of Commiskey, and Tim (Lorraine) Irvine of MI; daughter, Shelly Shaw of Sacramento, CA; sisters, Janet (Bob) Johnson and Susie (Donny) Moore of Knightstown, and Diane (Gary) Ross of Falmouth; grandchildren, Nathan (Michelle) Wager, Jeremy (Sherri) Wager, Josh Wager, Charity Wager, Sierra Shaw, Timothy (Tiffany) Irvine, and Michelle (Derek) DiSabato; sixteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Wager, parents, daughter, Bobbie Day, and brother, Marlin Wager.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Wounded Warrior Project.
