John D. Miles, 57, of North Vernon, passed away at 8:40 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020, at the home of his sister.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2020, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Dale Boyd will officiate. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday, November 27, 2020, at the funeral home.

Born on August 5, 1963, in Seymour, John was the loving son of John Henry Miles and Barbara (Kelley) Wilson.

John loved going mushroom and ginseng hunting and fishing. He enjoyed playing pool and having a good time. John was laid back and liked to party.

He is survived by sisters, Terrie McCammon and Tammy Wilhoit both of North Vernon; several nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Miles and Barbara Wilson; stepfather, Jason Wilson.
