Obituary

John David "JD" Schroeder, 53, of North Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 17, 2020, at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 8:00 – 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2020 with the Rosary Service being conducted at 9:15 a.m. at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service.  Wearing masks and practicing social distancing is required.

Born July 24, 1967, in Madison, John was the son of John and Ruth (Stille) Schroeder.

John loved working on electronics. He enjoyed listening to music, studying the bible, and reading WWI and WWII History. John cherished spending time with his family and was always up for some good food. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

John is survived by brothers, Doug (Sheri) Schroeder of North Vernon, Brian (Lori) Schroeder of Paris Crossing, Greg Schroeder of Westport, and Jeff (Tamicka) Schroeder of North Vernon; sister, Jenny Broome of Spencer; several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Schroeder.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
