John David Hanna, 63, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:23 p.m., on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Jennings in North Vernon.

A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home.

Born on February 4, 1961, in Seymour, John was the loving son of John Richard and Margaret Rose (Calhoun) Hanna.

John was a 1979 graduate of Jennings County High School. He owned and operated Hanna Construction for 44 years. John enjoyed woodworking, traveling, and family events.

Left to cherish his memory is his sons, John "Patrick", Clayton (Liz), and Jacob Hanna all of North Vernon; daughters, Sasha (Kevin Holle), and Cristy Hanna both of North Vernon, and Katelynn Hanna of Columbus; father, John R. Hanna of North Vernon; brothers, Timothy (Darlene) Hanna of Tennessee, and Richard Hanna of Florida; grandchildren, Haven (Justin) Gasper of Westport, John "Alex" Hanna, Cameryn Palmer, Davin McIntosh, Kaydence Dunham, and Abrianna Hanna all of North Vernon.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Hanna; and brother, Joseph Hanna.
