Jimmie J. Colbert, 76, of North Vernon, passed away at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014, at Kindred Hospital South in Greenwood.
Born September 4, 1938, in Ripley County, Jimmie was the son of Lafayette and Mary Colbert. He married Phyllis Hudson on July 15, 1967. She preceded him in death.
A retired boilermaker, Jimmie was a member of VFW Post #2021, Sons of AmVets and Tennessee Squire Association.
He is survived by friend, Debra Koons of North Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Funeral Information
In accordance with Mr. Colbert's wishes, there will be no services.
