Mr. Jerry Taulman Jr

February 06, 1960 - October 28, 2009

Jerry (Joey) Milton Taulman, Jr., 49, of North Vernon, passed away from this earthly life on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis following a fire in his home.

Born February 6, 1960 at the Fort Army Base Hospital, El Paso, Texas he was the son of Jerry Milton Taulman and Connie Sue Goodpaster Taulman. They lived in Texas while his father was stationed there in the service and later moved to Jennings County where he lived the remainder of his life.

Mr. Taulman was a member of the Jennings County Class of 1978. He worked at various group homes over the years.

He loved animals, especially horses and received jockey training at Churchill Downs as a young adult. He also participated in and won several awards through CFA Cat Association for Distinguished Champion and Grand Champion Cats at cat shows over the years. Gardening was also something that he loved. He enjoyed teaching others about plants and flowers.

He is survived by his parents, two sisters, Kimberly Roney (Brian), Michelle Bustle (Michael) and his brother James Taulman who was very heroic in rescuing his brother from the fire. Also surviving are nephews and niece, Justin and Lacey Craft, Jeremy and Trent Clark, Corey and Cody Bustle, and three great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Homer and Gladys Taulman, James L. and Gladys Goodpaster and a great-nephew Hunter Hardwick.
