Jerilyn Sue Atkins, 56, of Elizabethtown, passed away at 9:06 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at home.

There will be no service at this time. Cremation was chosen. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are entrusted with the arrangements.

Born on May 24, 1964, in Seymour, Jerilyn was the loving daughter of Jerry Wilhite and Gayle Martin. She was united in marriage to Steven Atkins on September 21, 1987. He survives.

Jerilyn had previously worked as an attendant with DSI. She enjoyed gardening and quilting in her free time. Most of all, Jerilyn cherished spending time making memories and spoiling her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Steven Atkins of Elizabethtown, survivors include daughter, Jerrilee Atkins of Columbus; sons, Paul Atkins of Ohio, and Jessie (Emily) Atkins of North Vernon; father, Jerry Wilhite of Lake Wells, FL; brothers, James Martin of New Albany, and Mike Williams of North Vernon; sister, Bonita Williams of Commiskey; eight grandchildren.

Jerilyn was preceded in death by her mother, Gayle Martin.
