Mr. Jerald D. McMullen

Jerald D. McMullen, 78, of North Vernon passed away at 6:25 PM on Friday, August 7, 2015, at Four Seasons Health Care Center in Columbus.

Born November 13, 1936 in Moores Hill, Jerald was the son of Dolph and Lorene Morehead McMullen. He married Cheryl Hastings on October 19, 1963.

He graduated from Moores Hill High School in 1955. He retired from Cummins, Inc. after thirty fours of working. He was a member of the Diesel Workers Union, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching his grandsons play sports. He was overjoyed with the birth of his new granddaughter.

Jerald is survived by his wife, Cheryl McMullen of North Vernon; sons, Scott (Stacy) McMullen of Columbus, and Stephen McMullen of North Vernon; sisters, Dixie Ammons of Aurora, and Carolyn Schwarz of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Eric, Jacob, and Lindsay McMullen.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Information

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 PM Monday, August 10, 2015, at Vernon Cemetery. Bob Ochs will officiate.
