Jerald Lee Mantei Sr.

Jerald L. Manthei, 75, of Butlerville passed away at 10:23 a.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at St. Vincent-Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born on September 9, 1934, in Scottsburg, IN, he was the son of Melvin Charles and Alma Chapel Manthei. He later married Barbara Henry in 1952. She survives.

Jerald was a survey instrument repairman and a member of the Moose Lodge in North Vernon.

He is survived his wife, five sons, Jerald L.Manthei Jr., of Butlerville, Richard Manthei of North Vernon, Charles E. Manthei of Indianapolis, Steven C. Manthei of Austin, Harold Manthei of Arizona; two daughters, Barbara Cooper of New Palestine and Christina Manthei of North Vernon; two sisters, Deanna Miller, of Noblesville and Linda Dunn of Seymour, 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
