Mr. Jeffrey E. Scott

April 29, 1954 - June 23, 2013

Jeffrey E. Scott, 59, of North Vernon, passed away on June 23, 2013, at Jennings Healthcare Center in North Vernon.

Born April 29, 1954, in Worchester, MA, Jeff was the son of the late Ernest and Claire Scott. He married Susan Sasenbury on October 4, 1975, in Ava, NY. She survives.

Jeff was a graduate of Adirondack High School in Boonville, NY. He had been a dairy farmer there until 1989. He moved to Indiana from Boonville in November 2002. He was employed at Beacon Industries in Seymour and then Toyota in Walesboro until 2010. He enjoyed flying kites, astronomy, airplanes and gardening.

In addition to his wife, Jeff is survived by a sister, Jennifer MacKellar of Virginia Beach, VA, four step brothers, and a half sister, Carol Ponzi of Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Chuck Cartwright will officiate. A gathering of friends and family will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
