Mr. Jeffrey P. Hargis

April 11, 1953 - November 14, 2011

Jeffrey P. Hargis, 58, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011, at his brother's residence.

Born April 11, 1953, in Cincinnati, OH, Jeffrey was the son of Thomas P. and Rose Koczorowski Hargis. He graduated from North College Hill High School in Cincinnati, OH in 1971. He received his associates degree from Del Mar Technical College in Corpus Christi, TX, where he studied electronic engineering technology and electrical engineering technology.

Mr. Hargis served in the United States Navy from 1971 until 1977. He retired in 2009 from the United States Postal Service after 20 years of service, and was a retired member of the Postal Workers Union.

Jeffrey is survived by two sisters, Diane Wilson of Germantown, TN, and JoAnne Hargis of Cincinnati, OH, and two brothers, T. Michael Hargis of Ross, OH, and W. Robert Hargis of Cincinnati, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Richard Gambrall and Gary Gambrall.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at 12:00 pm at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon, IN, with Rev. Dennis Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:30 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment and military graveside service will be held at Vernon Cemetery.
