Mr. Jason Allyn Carr

December 16, 1976 - August 23, 2009

Jason Allyn Carr, 32 of Commiskey, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at University of Louisville Hospital.

Born December 16, 1976 in Columbus, IN., he was the son of Henry A. and Patricia Gonyer Carr. He married Shannon Echtinaw on August 1, 1998.

Jason had worked for Atmosphere Annealing in maintenance. He graduated from J.C.H.S. in 1995 and the Southeastern Career Center. He was a member of ABATE and enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, football games and his children.

He is survived by his parents, wife, two sons, Juston Allyn and Braydon Henry Carr of Commiskey, two brothers, Wade Charles and David Henry Carr of North Vernon, and a grandmother, Irene Gonyer of Perrysburg, OH.

Mr. Carr was preceded in death by his son, Auston Levi Matthew Carr, his grandparents, Sylvester and Edith Vogel and William Gonyer.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 am until the time of the service on Thursday. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery at Four Corners. By request of the family, friends are asked to wear NASCAR or Colts shirts and jeans.
