Mrs. Janice Colleen Zitting

May 19, 1958 - January 06, 2010

Janice Colleen Zitting, 51, North Vernon, our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on January 6th, 2010 after a long battle with small cell lung cancer.

Born on May 19th, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah to the parents Duane Dunning and Glenna Colleen Charter.

Jan married Jeff Zitting in 1975 in Elko, Nevada. Together they had three sons, James, Jace and Jeremy. Jan was always very thoughtful and put others before herself. She lived a full life filled with many good times with her friends and family.

Jan & Jeff lived in California for 19 years then decided to buy a home and move to North Vernon in May of 2008.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Glenna, grandparents, Alvin, Mary, Pearl, Gladys and her father in law Carl, aunts and uncles.

Jan is survived by her sister Kathy (Scott) Riching, husband Jeff, sons, James (Gail), Jace, Jeremy (Erin), grandchildren, Michael, Jovie, Jason; nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Hospice of Jennings County.

A small service will be held at Vernon Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
