Jack Lee Ratcliff

April 20, 1936 - June 20, 2008

Jack Lee Ratcliff, 72, of Scipio passed away Friday, June 20, 2008 at his residence.

Born April 20, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN, Jack was the son of the late James and Martha Fouty Ratcliff. He graduated from Teck High School in Indianapolis and later married Delores Floyd on June 27, 1959. She survives.

Mr. Ratcliff was a member of the Reddington Christian Church and an active member of the North Vernon Masonic Lodge. In his younger years Jack had helped his father with his business Ace Tinning and Roofing. He later became employed with Cummins Engine Company. Jack retired from Cummins after 35 years of employment.

He is survived by his wife Delores of Scipio, two daughters, Pamela Maschino and Patricia Wheeler, a son, Mark Ratcliff, six grandchildren, Ryan and Renissa Maschino, Matthew and Zackary Davis, and Joshua and Kessa Ratcliff, and one sister all of North Vernon.

Mr. Ratcliff was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be at 11 AM, Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Reddington Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 PM and on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of service. A Masonic service will be held at 6 PM on Monday evening.
