Harry W. Rine, 91, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:25 p.m., on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at the Majestic Care of North Vernon.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, August 23, 2021, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Joe Wyatt will officiate. Burial with military graveside rights will be in the Vernon cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. till the time of service with the Masonic service beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Born on November 27, 1929, in Butlerville, Harry was the loving son of John and Helen (Eliott) Rine. He was united in marriage to Patricia (Patsy) O'connor in 1954. She preceded him in death in October 2006.

Harry served his country proudly from 1946 – 1953. He spent two years in the Army and four years in the Navy. He was a member of the Butlerville Masonic Lodge #219, North Vernon Order Eastern Star #183, and the Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite. Harry was a member of the North Vernon First United Methodist Church. He retired from Cummins on January 1, 1988. Harry enjoyed motorcycles and loved his dog Daisy.

Survivors include daughter, Ronda Everroad of St. Paul; two grandsons; two great grandsons; two step great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews; a close friend, Geraldine Green.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Rine; wife, Patsy Rine; son, Dustan Rine; brothers, Ralph and Frank Rine; sister, Ann Burgess; half-sister, Mary Reese; half-brothers, Lloyd, John, and Charles Rine.
