Harold Allen Stadtfeld, 63, of North Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at IU Methodist Hospital.

Born October 9, 1961 in Noble County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mary (Campbell) Stadtfeld.

Harold served in the US Marine Corps from 1980 until 1996. He had various other job interests throughout his life. In recent years he was employed at Jennings Veterinarians before becoming disabled in 2022. He enjoyed cooking for and spending time with his family, especially the grandkids.

He is survived by his long term partner, Cathy Gillis; children, Zachery Stadtfeld, Marissa (Lewis) Arthur, Grace (Robbie) Madden, Xavier (Pedro Ribeiro) Stadtfeld, Calob Stadtfeld, Talon Stadtfeld, Johnny Gillis and Jake Gillis; grandchildren, Addie Grigsby, Ben and Elyse Madden, Emily Tracy, and Vivian Gillis; siblings, Valerie (DeLane) Parker and Eric (Cheryl) Stadtfeld; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Melissa (Senior) Stadtfeld; and sister, Dawn Stadtfeld.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. Interment with military honors will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Services to go towards final expenses.
