Mrs. Grace Mary Speer

July 21, 1965 - December 09, 2008

Grace Mary Speer, 43, of North Vernon, passed away early Tuesday morning at The Indiana Heart Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born July 21, 1965 in Seymour, IN, she was the daughter of Arthur and Wilma Davis Wilcoxen, she later joined the family of William and Dixie Gerhard of Scipio, they survive.

Mrs. Speer had been a homemaker. She never turned away any stray in need, whether two or four legged. Her heart and home was always open and she was always willing to help others in any way. Grace's love of life, her friends, her pets, and her family was unfailing and unending. Her greatest love in life were her two daughters, Codie Lee Speer and Cassandra Ray Speer, both of North Vernon.

Mrs. Speer is survived by her parents, her daughters, three biological brothers; Arthur Wilcoxen and Bud Couch both of North Vernon, Jimmy Hollingsworth of Southport, also surviving are siblings; Bethany Murphy of North Vernon, John Gerhard of Southport, Evan Gerhard of NewYork, NY, Shalom Drummond of Bloomington, Merrily Bower of Clarksville, Chandan Gerhard of Scipio.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be 12 PM, Friday, December 12, 2008 at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Coglan officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home and also from 11 AM to time of service Friday morning.
