Grace H. Ramey, 90, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017, at Premier Healthcare in North Vernon.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Vernon Cemetery.  Rev. Connie Barr will officiate.  Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Born March 27, 1927, in Elizabethtown, Indiana, Grace was the daughter of the late Lewis and Eunice Chastine Jines.  She married Thomas Ramey, Sr. on March 18, 1943.  He preceded her in death.

Grace was a homemaker and had managed the Dollar General in Seymour for three years.

She is survived by four sons, Thomas (Barb) Ramey, Jr., Raymond (Janet) Ramey, George (Carol) Ramey and Robert (Deb) Ramey all of North Vernon; three daughters, Judy (Kelsie) Scott of Kentucky, Kim (Bud) Steltenpohl of Seymour and Heather (Jeff) Boswell of Dupont; one brother, Larry Jines of North Vernon; one sister, Marsha McMurtrey of North Vernon; and several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Eunice Jines; her husband, Thomas Ramey, Sr.; a son, Stanley Ramey and one granddaughter, Geri Ramey.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
