Mr. Glen E. Trowbridge Jr.

Glen Edward Trowbridge, Jr., 73, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 2011, at Jennings Health Care Center.

Born November 12, 1937, in Jefferson County, Mr. Trowbridge was the son of Glen E. and Mary Alice Baker Trowbridge, Sr. He married Ellen Hans on February 1, 1957. She survives.

Mr. Trowbridge retired as a supervisor in 1986 from Cummins Engine Company. He was a member of Graham Presbyterian Church, a director of Cordry Sweetwater Conservancy District and a volunteer fireman at Cordry Sweetwater. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Trowbridge is survived by a son, Mark (Debbie) Trowbridge of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Teresa Moody of Columbus and Cheri (Rick) Vance of Dupont; two sisters, Joan Baker of Commiskey and Janet (Tom) Kershner of North Vernon; seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 7, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. The Rev. Michael Bean will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Dupont Cemetery.
