Gladys McClellan

Gladys McClellan, 79, of Columbus formerly of North Vernon, passed away at 11:47 AM, Monday, June 1, 2009 at her daughter's home.

Born August 27, 1929 in Zenas, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Olive (Smith) Morris. She married Frank McClellan on September 14, 1947. He preceded her in death on March 27,1997.

Mrs. McClellan worked at Macy's Department Store as a Sales Associate and Citizens Building and Loan for 18 years.

Gladys enjoyed gardening, sewing, crossword puzzles, shopping and her grandchildren.

Mrs. McClellan is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Paul) Kirchner of Seymour and Betty McClellan of Columbus, sister, Phyllis (Maurice) Moncrief of North Vernon and three grandchildren, Paula Zeh, Cheryl Griffin, Debra Young and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Frank Thomas McClellan.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Sawyer~ Pickett Funeral Home with Bob Ochs officiating. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
