Obituary
Gladys L. Hewitt, 88, of North Vernon passed away at 10:35 AM Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Vernon Cemetery. Rev. Paul Penegar will officiate.
Born March 2, 1928, in New Albany, Gladys was the daughter of the late Albert and Lola Elliott Tyler. She was one of ten children. She married Eugene Hewitt on May 3, 1955. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1978.
Gladys enjoyed her friends, and dearly loved her cats.
She is survived by her companion, Jim Thomas of North Vernon.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sawyer – Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service.
