Geneva Coleman

February 26, 1931 - June 30, 2009

Geneva Coleman, 78, of North Vernon, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 8:26 AM at St. Vincent ICU in Indianapolis.

Born February 26, 1931 in Salyersville, KY., she was the daughter of the late Herman and Maggie (Patton) Collett. She later married Dale H. Coleman

Mrs. Coleman was a restaurant cook, and enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening and fishing.

She is survived by her son, Mark Coleman of North Vernon, two brothers, Larue Collett of Washington, Indiana and J. W. Collett of North Vernon, two granddaughters, Jennifer Lynn Roberts and Dorthea Leola Hankins, several nieces , nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister Reva Caudill.

Funeral Information

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vernon Cemetery, with the Reverend Dale Boyd officiating. Arrangements are in care of Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home.
