Gary Asbury, 70, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:08 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Majestic Care of North Vernon.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Don Asbury and Tommy Asbury will officiate. Burial will be in the Scipio Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. till the time of the service at the funeral home.

Born on April 16, 1951, in Edmonton, KY, Gary was the loving son of John and Magdalene (Dial) Asbury.

Gary loved to fish and spend time with his loving family and friends.

Gary is survived by step-mother, Stella Asbury of Columbus; brothers, Don, Michael, Hearold, Johnny, and Billy Asbury all of Scipio, and Tommy Asbury of Taylorsville; sisters, Linda England of Columbus, and Sandy Badgley of Letts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Magdalene Asbury; brothers, Bobby and Ronnie Asbury.
