Frank Philpot, 84, of North Vernon passed away at 4:05 PM on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Sawyer – Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev's Rod Raines and John Willis will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.

Born on November 6, 1938, in Hazard, Ky, Frank was the son of Jesse and Molly Binge Philpot. He married Barbara Thorpe on November 7, 1981.

Frank worked for Ezzo Meat Company until it closed. He then worked as a dispatcher for the Jennings County Sheriff's Department for two years and served as Holton Town Marshall for four years. He was a member of First Apostolic Church. He loved fishing, hunting, painting and sketching.

Frank is survived by his wife, Barbara Philpot of North Vernon; step-daughter, Pam (David) Pratt of North Vernon; step-son, Marty (Cheryl) Robbins of North Vernon; brother, Jesse Philpot of Gary, IN; grandchildren, Jason Pratt, and Rebekah Harrison; five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Doug Robbins; four brothers, Clyde, Robert, William, and Jack; one sister; Vanalier Daugherty.

Memorials may be made to the First Apostolic Church through the funeral home.
